Looking back to 2000, no one could have foreseen the near-catastrophic events that now shape our world. From terrorist attacks to never-ending wars, from natural disasters and energy crises to the almost collapse of the economy. As a new decade unfolds will you sit aside and be a passive by-stander, or will you better arm yourselves with knowledge and involvement allowing you the ability to make an impact on our future?
The Santa Barbara Institute on World Affairs is a non-profit organization that has been established to provide a series of public presentations, discussions and forums, led by experts, about national and global issues affecting humanity. We are committed to empowering our community through knowledge and the opportunity to participate in civil discourse and work towards resolution. We look forward to your participation. Welcome.
